Base Pay Range Hours: 48 Salary: £12.90 to £13.10 per hour (higher for applicants with health and social care qualifications) Overview of the Role As a Senior Social Care Worker you will lead and support a team of social care workers, ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will also liaise with senior staff in the home, reporting any matters of concern, and help expand and apply your knowledge of the care sector. Key Duties Support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment Supervise a team and assist in overall home management Liaise with managers and other shift leaders Carry out tasks professionally, promptly and accurately Share mealtimes with residents to encourage positive attitudes toward food and dining Assist residents in their daily activities, both inside and outside the home Use initiative when supporting residents during activities and day‑to‑day tasks Personal Attributes Being patient, reliable, flexible, a team player and a good communicator are key characteristics of a successful Team Leader.
