Greater London, United Kingdom lymphoedema support network (LSN) Full time

Trustee Opportunity – Fundraiser – Volunteer Join to apply for the Trustee Opportunity – Fundraiser – Volunteer role at lymphoedema support network (LSN). Are you a fundraising professional looking to use your skills to make a positive impact? The LSN is seeking a Trustee with expertise to help us raise the funds to ensure we can continue supporting the nearly 500,000 people (including children) in the UK affected by lymphoedema. Lymphoedema is a chronic life‑altering condition that affects more than 400,000 people in the United Kingdom, including approximately 3,000 children. The condition reduces the ability of the body to detect and fight certain infections, particularly cellulitis that can result in unplanned hospitalisation, worsening of the condition and even death. Despite its prevalence, access to appropriate care across the NHS remains inconsistent, and in some areas specialist lymphoedema services are being reduced or withdrawn entirely. For countless individuals, the Lymphoedema Support Network (LSN), founded in 1991, serves as the first point of contact for reliable information and guidance. The organisation responds to thousands of enquiries each year from patients seeking help, advice, or direction to appropriate support. The LSN provides a wide range of essential services, including: A national helpline receiving more than 4,000 calls annually Free factsheets, an informative website, and a dedicated app Active social media support and engagement A directory of qualified lymphoedema therapists Conferences and educational events Patient and healthcare professional roadshows Training modules for healthcare professionals Demand for these services continues to grow at pace. With only 2.5 full‑time staff, the LSN must significantly expand its capacity to meet the needs of an increasing number of patients and families. Additional staff and resources are urgently required to enhance our service provision, develop further professional training opportunities, increase public awareness, put on more roadshows, identify and reach more sufferers in the black and Asian communities, and ensure that all living with lymphoedema in the UK can access the information and support they desperately need. The LSN receives no statutory funding and is reliant on the generosity of our supporters. We seek your support to help the Lymphoedema Support Network continue and grow this vital work. What are we looking for? Experience in successful fundraising strategy and execution, ideally for charities. What will you be doing? As a Trustee, you will help ensure our financial sustainability, and support us in making strategic decisions. You don’t need personal experience with lymphoedema—your expertise and commitment to helping others are what matters most. Why Join Us? Time commitment: 1 hour per month (virtual meetings) In‑person meetings 2–3 times per year Location: Remote This is a unique opportunity to use your skills for a meaningful cause. #J-18808-Ljbffr
