OverviewJob Title: Housing OfficerLocation: ColchesterSalary: £28,000-£35,000Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week 8.30am-5pmContract Type: PermanentPurpose of the Role : Our client, a leading provider of housing solutions, is seeking a Housing Officer to cover the Colchester area.ResponsibilitiesSupport and manage Service Users (SUs) within an allocated area, ensuring their well-being and the effective management of properties.Conduct welfare visits, property inspections, and maintain accurate records in line with company procedures.Manage a caseload of Service Users.Conduct dispersals, inductions, and welfare checks.Signpost SUs to local services (e.g., healthcare, shops).Arrange and support transport or relocation as needed.Ensure the health, safety, and timely move-on of Service Users.Conduct monthly inspections and arrange necessary maintenance.Prepare properties for re-occupation or hand back to landlords.Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.Ensure minor repairs are completed and inventory is managed.Required SkillsExperience as a Housing Officer or similar role.Awareness of diverse cultures and backgrounds.Empathetic, adaptable, and resilient.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Well-organised with effective planning abilities.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Full UK driving licence required.Benefits25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysHealth MembershipLife cover6-month probation period4% employer and 4% employee pension contributionLaptop, phone, and other equipment as neededEmployee Assistance ProgrammeReferral schemeThe successful candidate will need to hold a valid UK driving licence and will be required to undergo a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC) check, in accordance with the responsibilities of the role.Please contact Kerrie Collett on 07778 403485 to learn more, or submit your application today.TPBN1_UKTJ #J-18808-Ljbffr
