STS Engine Services is hiring an experienced Management Accountant to join our team in Stansted. This is a hands‑on, full‑cycle accounting role with broad responsibility across reporting, analysis, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead financial operations in a fast‑paced aviation environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPosting journals in relation to these recsPreparation of monthly management accounts packPresentation of the management accounts to the Senior Leadership TeamAR receipts and postingAged debt, credit controlDebtors cashflowVAT returnsFull ownership of audit requests and statutory accounts requestsAssistance with the P11D processingPayroll postingReview of budgets to actualsAssistance with budgeting, forecastsAssistance with onsite ad hoc finance requests – e.g. utility/energy usageProject, customer, sales stream profitability reviewing and reportingSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience in a similar all‑round Finance role is essential, aviation experience is a bonus but not essential.Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).Strong technical accounting knowledge.Practice experience preferredExcellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure.Demonstrable experience of working with care and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage own workload.Proficient in the use of MS Office with advanced Excel skills.Experience of using financial management software (ideally Sage Line 50).Highly numerate with an analytical mindset.Experience working with and between different currencies.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Used to working confidentially and with integrity.Must be flexible and willing to assist where required due to business requirements.Present and behave in ways that are appropriate to the image and reputation of the business, its products and services.Benefits and CompensationIf required we will offer support with final accounting qualification examsPMI included at GTPension 5%On site required 5 days a week, can be flexible to 4About STS Engine ServicesSTS Engine Services, formerly GT Engine Services, is a leading provider of aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and storage solutions.
