Administrative Assistant – MASH and Elective Home Education Apply for the Administrative Assistant – MASH and Elective Home Education role with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admin Support Officer to undertake general administrative duties, including recording on electronic systems, extracting and presenting information to support the local authority home education team and the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub Education team. This post works across two teams in a fast‑paced office environment. Accuracy and meeting deadlines are essential. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive admin support across the education directorate, maintaining databases and extracting information for service activity. Act as the first point of contact for service users, ensuring an accurate and timely response. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of electronic information and maintain file and record systems (paper and electronic). Fully utilise IT to support and develop administrative services, familiarising yourself with all operating systems used within the Service area. Extract data from databases and present it for Education officers. Establish and review effective administrative systems. Demonstrate teamwork and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Qualifications GCSE Maths and English or equivalent. Experience working in a busy office environment. IT literate with experience managing databases and sector‑specific software. Experience handling calls from stakeholders and passing messages to the appropriate team. Ability to manage priorities within tight deadlines. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
