These activities are set‑up to remove as many of the known barriers to voluntary participation as possible but importantly, they also feature opportunities for young people to positively replace and address the reasons why they may otherwise fall into poor physical or mental health, antisocial behaviour and crime in later years. The community‑based activities aim to incubate young peoples’ interest in the game and develop their skills adequately so that transition into an established, mainstream cricket club becomes more likely from 11 years old and upwards. We currently work with almost 25,000 children in more than 60 Platform Cricket Hubs in 20 London Boroughs.THE ROLEWe are seeking candidates for a Platform Cricket Hub Supervisor position who will play a lead role in driving the Platform Cricket programme in the next phase of its growth. The role is ideal for individuals who are skilled and enthusiastic cricket coaches, but who want to combine face‑to‑face delivery with management and developmental responsibilities. The new post-holder will join a management team that will collectively oversee Platform Cricket’s strategic development, but will be individually responsible for operational delivery, impact, and partnerships in and around a portfolio of Hubs in a defined region of London. We welcome applications from ECB Level 2 equivalent (or above) cricket coaches and whilst candidates will ideally have some sports development/management experience, we are also happy to hear from candidates who have less vocational development experiences, but who feel they possess the skills and traits to be successful in such a role.Whilst we will support staff with strong governance and management alongside planned professional development, our Hub Supervisors will be our main representatives to schools, parents, and community partners. They will also hold a supervisory role with other coaches. We therefore require candidates that possess:A personable manner with confident and persuasive communication skillsStrong IT, administrative and organisational skillsAn ability to work on an outcome‑based project, thinking critically, strategically and innovatively in order to be successfulPositive and energetic enthusiasm for improving young peoples’ lives through sportStrong work ethic, dedication, and commitmentAdditionally, our community‑based activities involve direct and autonomous responsibility for participants which requires post‑holders to demonstrate good judgement, safe practice, sound risk management, and pastoral care.We welcome approaches from candidates who are interested in taking on one of our hub Supervisor roles through an agreement which allows them to maintain their self‑employed status.Platform Cricket is committed to the safeguarding of young people and as such all successful applicants will be expected to either hold or undergo an Enhanced DBS Check.Seniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionMarketing, Public Relations, and Writing/EditingIndustriesNon‑profit Organizations #J-18808-Ljbffr
