Due to the expansion of our service operating 7 days between the hours of 08:00 to 20:00, we are looking for Band 3 imaging assistants to join our growing MRI/CT team within the general imaging department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Key Working Relationships Imaging head of radiography MRI/CT Lead Radiographer Radiologists MRI & rotational radiographers Imaging assistants and other clinical and professional staff As a member of our busy and dynamic department your vital role would be to provide the highest quality care for patients referred to our service. You will assist radiographers with the provision of the MRI/CT service, preparing patients for a variety of studies, changing them when necessary and gaining IV access through cannulation. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for CT and MRI scans, including siting intravenous cannulas. Assist radiographers in the smooth running of the imaging department and complete daily tasks. Support and form part of the MRI and CT teams under trained radiographer supervision. Involved in manual handling of patients regularly in CT and MRI. Maintain the highest standard of patient care and safety throughout the service. Required Experience Experience in cannulation. Motivated to demonstrate initiative and to motivate the team.
