The roleholder will be responsible for the success of assigned projects, including documenting project progress, managing resources and identifying critical path items. The ideal candidate will be extremely organised, and be able to prioritise and plan work activities in a high-pressure environment.The Responsibilities:Direct large-scale, complex projects by defining scope, goals, deliverables, and detailed project plans aligned with business objectives and priorities.Build, lead, and mentor multiple project teams while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and business sponsors.Monitor project milestones, schedules, and vendor accountability; provide regular performance updates and status reports to stakeholders.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring projects comply with firm-wide project management methodologies and standards.Evaluate trade-offs involving project size, cost, complexity, urgency, and stakeholder value to drive optimal decision-making.Identify and recommend technologies to streamline PMO processes and enhance project delivery efficiency.The Candidate:Over 6 years of IT project management experience, ideally within a law firm, including office builds, relocations, and managing multiple contractors, with strong leadership and organisational skills.Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, and familiar with various software development lifecycles (Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall), with a deep understanding of project management concepts and tools.Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and facilitation abilities, with a proven capacity to anticipate and resolve problems, manage risks, and work effectively across teams in high-pressure environments.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; PMP, Prince2, or CAPM preferred; role involves primarily sedentary work with occasional physical effort.The Recruitment Process – How to get it rightThe cost and time spent recruiting can vary dramatically depending on the recruitment process you adopt.
