Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee a variety of projects across our organisation, you'll be head of all our project, and be able to take on future ones with a bonus, pay rise or freelancer. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery aligned with organisational goals. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving project success through effective communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of projects in accordance with organisational standards and objectives.
  • Supervise project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and motivation.
  • Gather and define project requirements by liaising with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues promptly and implement effective solutions.
  • Utilise project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or Smartsheet to develop schedules, track progress, and report on project status.
  • Manage project budgets, control costs, and optimise resource allocation to maximise efficiency.
  • Facilitate communication among team members, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders through regular updates and meetings.
  • Apply various project management methodologies including Waterfall, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), or Agile practices as appropriate.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation using tools like SharePoint or Confluence for knowledge sharing and record keeping.
  • Analyse data using SAS or other analytics tools to support decision-making processes.
  • Prepare presentations for stakeholders to communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and standards throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience in managing cross-functional teams on complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of requirements gathering, risk management, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or Smartsheet; familiarity with Workday or ServiceNow is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with effective team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels through clear reporting and presentation delivery.
  • Experience with product management or product development processes is desirable.
  • Knowledge of organisational systems including SharePoint, Content Management Systems (CMS), or similar platforms is beneficial.
