Area Manager – Watermain Installation Projects We need experienced professionals who thrive on delivering results and keep communities connected. Join our growing team in Maple Cross and support the delivery of new watermain installation projects for our client, Thames Water. Salary: £54,000 – £57,000 Location: Maple Cross Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of new watermain installation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and to specification. Manage resources, labour, and plant efficiently to meet programme and budget targets. Oversee Health & Safety and CDM compliance on site, carrying out regular inspections and audits. Provide technical guidance and operational support to prevent and resolve issues. Promote a “right first time” approach, encouraging best practice and high standards of customer service. Support the development of your team, ensuring all colleagues and subcontractors are trained, competent, and compliant. Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience in the water industry, ideally within watermain installation, and a solid understanding of regulatory and safety requirements. Full UK driving licence and regular site travel. Required: NRSWA accreditation and relevant qualifications/accreditations for watermain works within the Thames Water region (e.g., EUSR, SHEA Water, NCO). Advantage: IOSH or SMSTS certification. Strong communicator, natural organiser, and leader who promotes safety, teamwork, and accountability while maintaining a practical, solutions‑focused approach.
