Overview We’re looking for a highly analytical and proactive Conduct and Compliance Manager to join our Retail team. This is a key role for someone who is self‑driven, self‑sufficient, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll ensure Consumer Duty principles are fully embedded across the business and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of FCA regulations to safeguard compliance and deliver positive customer outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring strong regulatory awareness and a proven ability to work within a regulated environment, ideally across financial services or related sectors. You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands‑on problem‑solving, ensuring robust governance and continuous improvement. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you How you’ll make an impact Embed the four principles of Consumer Duty: Consumer Support, Consumer Understanding, Price & Value, and Products & Services. Monitor and report on Errors & Omissions (E&O) and risk event notifications, ensuring actions are taken and trends flagged to stakeholders. Establish regular monitoring of adherence to Product Governance protocols and Fair Value assessments, including binding authorities. Build strong relationships with business units, central functions, and key partners to ensure accurate delivery and support. Oversee complaint activity reporting to ensure good customer outcomes. Drive improvements based on customer insight via NPS and Trustpilot results. Act as the key contact for FCA regulatory updates and ensure timely communication across the business. Provide monthly risk reports to SLT and MD, including trend analysis and resolution plans. Work closely with the Learning & Development Manager to identify training and knowledge gaps. About you Previous experience working within a similar role in the insurance industry is essential Strong working knowledge of current compliance practices and techniques, detailed accuracy of retail conduct risk outcomes Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a systematic and disciplined manner. Process‑driven with excellent analytical skills to interpret data and convert insights into actions. Confident working independently in a fast‑paced environment while recognising when to seek support. Strategic thinker with a proactive, can‑do approach. Natural empathy with customers and sound judgement in decision-making, balancing commercial considerations. Strong written communication skills for emails and internal reports. Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
