Overview This opportunity is for a Technical Lead at Severn Trent Services, a commercial arm of the Severn Trent Group. The role focuses on driving risk reduction and performance across Water Quality, Sewerage Treatment, and Environmental work streams under the Aquatrine contract. Responsibilities Ownership of Flow Compliance requirements for Sewerage Treatment (STW) project within MOD Package C Contract. Accountable for protecting the MOD water & wastewater networks, infrastructure, permits and licences by ensuring adequate interventions for new developments on MOD sites. Responsible for the ALS sampling delivery and budget, flushing programme and Private Water Supply Risk Assessments (PWSRAs). Responsible for all EA compliance in terms of permitting and consents for Abstraction and Sewerage Treatment, plus MCERTS audits, accreditation and rolling out additional sites. Accountable for BSI and Achilles Audits relating to ISO 14001 and related environmental issues. Identify and resolve critical skills gaps within STS Networks Team to adapt to market needs. Identify process and asset risks with potential impact on contractual and financial performance, owning mitigation. Stakeholder engagement to build and maintain relationships with key third parties. Provide best‑in‑class customer care and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure consistent reporting and process governance to meet MOD and senior management expectations. Drive continuous improvement, developing smarter ways of working to meet customer expectations. Provide timely and detailed answers to MOD queries. Support development of long‑term strategy to drive STS growth and capability. Manage and inspire leadership of own team, ensuring timely project delivery, SLA achievement and improved operating practices. Qualifications Our ideal candidate will have: A solid understanding of water and wastewater networks, treatment processes, and environmental challenges. Strong analytical skills to interpret network hydraulics. Proven experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated problem‑solving and logical thinking abilities. Leadership ability, motivating teams and inspiring high performance. Meticulous attention to accuracy and reliability. Full UK driving licence. Advanced IT skills (including Microsoft Office). Confidence to thrive in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment. We also value character, positivity and a caring attitude.
