The SQE ensures suppliers comply with engineering requirements and engages in ongoing improvement activities. The role includes ensuring supplier compliance with Aerospace and Defense industry requirements by performing onsite audits and product assessments and ensuring corrective actions submitted are effectively implemented.Your Main TasksAct as single point of contact for supplier quality topics and issuesLead APQP activities to ensure incoming quality before PPAP and production releaseDrive continual supplier performance improvement through coaching, training, recognition, restrictions or disqualificationMeasure, monitor and communicate supplier performance/trends across the organizationEvaluate, qualify, and approve new suppliers in collaboration with commodity teamsReview and approve/reject supplier PPAP submissions for new and changed componentsMonitor and analyze quality data, ensuring accuracy and supplier compliance with specificationsPartner with engineering to clarify and amend specifications for incoming goodsCommunicate and enforce organizational requirements and expectations to suppliersOversee and validate supplier corrective/preventive actions (8D, containment, audits, and roadmaps)Conduct supplier audits (AS9100), source inspections, product assessments and support QBRs with key suppliersWhat Your Background Should Look LikeDegree in relevant Engineering discipline8+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentAS9100 Lead Auditor5+ years in a supplier development roleLean Six Sigma Black Belt certification5+ years conducting quality auditsPractical application of 8D, 5-why and IshikawaExcellent people skillsMust be able to travel 50% - 75% of the timeDetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Quality AssuranceIndustries: Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics ManufacturingNote: This description reflects the responsibilities and requirements for the Supplier Quality Engineer role and does not include external job postings or unrelated content. #J-18808-Ljbffr
