The Role We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Manager to be based in CSQ, although we work as a wider London region team made up of three other offices. You will play a key role in expanding our tax governance offering, supporting existing clients, winning new work and developing new client relationships. The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships, develop junior staff, provide excellent client service and identify business development opportunities. Overview This exciting role is within our Tax Governance & Risk Management Team based in our CSQ office. We are looking for a talented individual at Senior Manager level to support our continued rapid growth around tax governance. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and challenging working environment, supported by a strong and ambitious leadership team. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across UK listed, PE‑backed, multinationals, inbound and family‑owned groups. Role and Responsibilities Identifying and managing tax risks across the globe. Building sustainable tax control frameworks to meet global tax authority requirements. Identifying the tax risks within tax transformation and technology projects. Senior Accounting Officer and Corporate Criminal Offence compliance. HMRC business risk review preparation. Developing and documenting their tax strategy and its publication. Meeting global tax transparency and ESG requirements. Liaising with HMRC on tax governance related matters. Leveraging tax technology to improve risk management and compliance processes. Liaising with specialists in the UK and overseas offices to oversee their input into projects. Coaching and developing more junior members of the team. Managing aspects of the team’s operations and performance, including resourcing. Managing proposals for new work, including delivering tender documents, presenting at client pitches and identifying solutions for client issues. Seeking out and pursuing opportunities with targets and actively participating and supporting Directors and Partners in business development activities. Qualifications, Experience and Skills Experience of winning and leading a range of tax governance projects such as those listed above. ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualified, with corporate tax and accounting knowledge. Ability to develop, coach and lead staff, as well as manage stakeholders. Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the confidence to lead workshops and training. Strong interpersonal skills required in addition to strong oral and written communication skills. Well‑developed analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice. Pro‑active in identifying and progressing business opportunities for the long‑term benefit of both KPMG and the client. Ability to multi‑task – to manage a wide range of projects and relationships. High level of drive and enthusiasm with a positive attitude. Dedication to continuously develop technical knowledge. Inquisitive with attention to detail. Being a role model for KPMG’s values.
