Program Manager - Global Digital / Technology Solutions Company (Tokyo) Location: Tokyo Contract Type: Full-time (Hybrid work environment) Start Date: ASAP About the Role A leading global technology and digital information services company is seeking a highly driven Program Manager (PMO) to bring structure, accountability, and strategic alignment to large-scale business and product initiatives in Japan. This role is pivotal in connecting engineering, UX, product, sales, and marketing teams, ensuring smooth communication and execution across complex workstreams. You will act as the central point of accountability, resolving bottlenecks, clarifying ownership, and driving high-impact outcomes for the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced program manager who thrives in dynamic, cross-functional environments and enjoys building frameworks from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Establish and manage a unified program management structure across multiple functions. Serve as the main coordinator to align stakeholders, track progress, and resolve issues. Map and monitor workstreams, dependencies, and risks. Drive prioritization and resource allocation to meet delivery goals. Provide clear reporting and visibility to senior leadership on program status and milestones. Partner with cross-functional leads to ensure accountability and on-time execution. Improve cross-departmental collaboration and business processes. Deliver measurable impact through structured and effective program management. Qualifications & Experience Must-Haves: 6-8+ years of proven experience in program or project management for large-scale, business-critical initiatives (multi-million-dollar scope). Experience in building PMO frameworks or delivery structures from scratch. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical teams. Excellent stakeholder management and ability to bring clarity to ambiguity. Bilingual proficiency (Japanese & English) preferred; English-only candidates with Japan experience will also be considered. Based in Japan, with strong understanding of local and multicultural business practices. Preferred: Background in technology, digital products, or financial information services. Experience improving business processes or leading enterprise-level product launches. Balanced experience across both technical delivery and business strategy.
