**Your role**

As Social Media Specialist you will be part of the Talent and Resourcing team, where we create opportunities for people to see their career at Specsavers by attracting, sourcing and retaining diverse and capable people who are ready when we need them.

As the Social Media Specialist, you’ll communicate our employer brand through our social media channels to promote Specsavers as an employer of choice. Your core purpose will be to help people to see Specsavers as a place they can grow through a varied and interesting career where they’ll play a part in changing lives.

You’ll be the social media expert in our Group Employer Brand team. In this role you will report to the Employer Brand Manager, with a dotted line to the Head of Social Media in our consumer team.

As the Employer Brand, Social Media Lead you’ll play a lead role in the creation of our social media strategy to support our annual plan and EVP framework, in addition to developing and keeping our social media channels and content up-to-date and ensuring they position us as an employer of choice. You’ll also be responsible for identifying key trends and making recommendations to the Employer Brand Manager to influence the Employer Brand strategy.

**Some of things you’ll be doing**:

- Managing posts on all the careers social media pages including community management (eg. Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Indeed, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter)
- Supporting the development of the social media strategy, leading its ongoing management with all areas of the business
- Managing the set up and launch of multiple social advertising campaigns at any one time, sometimes across multiple areas of the business
- Making recommendations for optimising our social channels to influence and optimise our content strategy for each channel
- Collaborating with Employer Brand Manager to create and deliver upskilling workshops for colleagues on organic social media activity
- Creating, maintaining and sharing the editorial calendar to provide a roadmap of social media activity with responsibility for a regular social media digest that goes to key colleagues and stakeholders.

**Your experience**
- Experience of using a variety of social media channels to grow reach and engagement for an organisation (particularly LinkedIn, Facebook, Glassdoor and Instagram) and an appetite to learn and identify opportunities to use new channels
- Strong marketing, PR and communication skills, particularly brand and digital content marketing
- Creative writing skills, with the ability to create compelling articles, job adverts and media content
- Data driven approach with the ability to monitor channel effectiveness
- Ability to use initiative and work under pressure with strong planning, organising and time management skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and support change
- A genuine passion for employer branding and the impact it can have in shaping a diverse and inclusive organisation

We offer a competitive salary and an excellent bonus plan, you will be entitled to two bonuses, one based on your own personal performance, which is paid quarterly, and a company bonus that is based on the performance of the business.
