Supporting the Head of Service Assurance Governance, the Service Assurance Policy & Quality Manager role is focussed on influencing, developing, and maintaining Service Assurance Policies & Quality Standards that ensure Service Operations strategic aims aremet.
Role
The Assurance Policy & Quality Manager will:
Develop and maintain a Service Assurance policy framework that reflects and aligns to Service Operations strategic aims
Develop and maintain a Service Assurance quality framework
Collaborate and influence key internal suppliers to ensure that the roadmap of delivery into Service Operations is influenced by Service Assurance Policies
Build and maintain influential and effective working relationships across the functional towers and suppliers, including, but not exclusive to, Cross Functional Design Authority (CFDA) and Portfolio Change Delivery Methodology (CDM)
Securing agreement from internal suppliers and customers, define, develop and maintain Service Assurance Policies that underpin operational strategy
Provide professional guidance and direction regarding Quality across Service Assurance and Service Operations functions to ensure processes and practices are discharged effectively and efficiently by the business, its suppliers and Customers
Develop and maintain templates and standards for all Service Assurance output ensuring it is underpinned by meeting our customers’ needs
Develop and maintain the framework to assure products published by the Service Assurance team
Complete internal audit of compliance against published Service Assurance material e.g. Service Designs
Foster and drive a ‘lessons learnt’ culture within Service Assurance, developing and maintaining a record of such lessons learnt and the resulting improvements
Develop and maintain the framework to collate, monitor and report on Service Assurance service improvements
Actively contribute to the development of performance measures demonstrating the efficacy of the Quality & Policy workstreams, underpinning the wider Service Assurance key performance indicators
Key Accountabilities
Line management of the Policy & Quality Management team
Creation, maintenance and ongoing adoption of Service Assurance Policies
Creation, maintenance and ongoing adoption of Service Assurance Quality standards
Alignment of quality to standards (ie ISO9001)
The measurement and improvement of operational performance across the Service Assurance function
Shaping the behaviour of internal suppliers including Project and Programme teams, technical, commercial, finance and regulatory teams, aligned with operational needs.
Service Assurance Policy Management
Understanding internal / external customer strategies
Standing in for the Head of Assurance Governance as required
Skills and Experiences Essential
experience of leading & embedding Quality Transformation initiatives across multiple areas
customer focused with ability to identify and understand and deliver to the (internal and/or external) customer's needs
vendor management experience and understanding 3rd party support contracts,
creative problem solving and analysis skills with an ability to identify service gaps and develop and implement solutions meeting the needs of the business
able to think laterally to consider options which will optimise the service to meet the needs of the business
able to convey complex messages and concepts to a broad audience of non-technical and technical groups
well-developed analytical/problem solving/decision making skills
Experience of ISO90001 Quality System Standards, implementation and maintenance
Established use of Six Sigma or equivalent and Lean Processes
