Account Manager, Amazon Strategic Account Services

Job ID: 2928904 | Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd

Are you interested in innovating to deliver a world-class level of service to Amazon's Selling Partners? The Amazon Strategic Account Services (SAS) program seeks to improve the customer and Selling Partner experience on Amazon by working directly with Selling Partners to improve value, selection and convenience across their business. With increasing complexity of today's ecommerce and rise of opportunities, the SAS team aims to leverage the full potential of each Selling Partner on Amazon by providing leading-edge strategic consultancy using a data-driven, collaborative, and customer-focused approach to support our Selling Partners to achieve their goals. Our team will invent and innovate across technology, processes and people to grow the program and enable scalable global solutions through direct cooperation with worldwide teams.

The SAS program is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketplace Consultant who will be responsible for working with a group of Selling Partners to help them grow their business on Amazon, offering support on launching on new programs, exploring Amazon's marketing tools, advising on account strategy and selection listing. The Marketplace Consultant will be expected to develop and convert a sales pipeline using a highly consultative and data driven approach, as well as onboard and build long-term relationships with the key decision-makers within the prospective accounts. Given the early stage of the program, you will also be responsible for developing processes, tools and content for this service. This is an opportunity for you to play a vital role in shaping a key growth program for Amazon Australia, developing our portfolio of solutions alongside cross functional teams and colleagues in other countries.

The ideal candidate will be excellent at influencing external stakeholders, consulting and account management skills, possess a track record of taking initiatives and using data and tools to drive business growth, implementing process improvements and scaling up programs, and be comfortable with operating in an ambiguous environment.

Our team operates out of our fabulous CBD office conveniently located near many transportation.

Amazon offers employees a competitive remuneration package, including participation in the company stock plan as applicable. We also look after our people with benefits, such as subsidized private health insurance, superannuation and paid parental leave options, amongst others.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Create and articulate compelling value propositions around the SAS program and service offerings.
  2. Identify, qualify, and engage with prospective Selling Partners based on a clear understanding of our Selling Partners and their needs.
  3. Manage a portfolio of Selling Partners to drive individual strategies, manage timelines, expectations and owning communications, leveraging a strong understanding of Amazon programs, tools and processes.
  4. Produce profound business recommendations and actionable insights by using a wide set of analytical tools to interpret customer data and make recommendations in order to maximize the potential of the assigned Selling Partners.
  5. Implement and track metrics to measure success of the sellers in your portfolio. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity.
  6. Prepare and present performance deep dives to facilitate regular discussions around business progress, current challenges, and strategic plans with your Selling Partners.
  7. Develop a thorough understanding of the competitive environment, including knowledge of complementary and/or competing product offerings.
  8. Lead additional projects such as conducting competitive analysis, developing content, inventing processes and tools to the benefit of our internal and external stakeholders.

A day in the life
You'll collaborate with selling partners to understand their business goals, analyze performance data, and develop strategic recommendations. You'll facilitate discussions with key stakeholders, present insights, and help implement solutions that drive growth. You'll also contribute to developing new processes and tools that enhance our service delivery.
