Community Occupational Therapist – Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales Pay Rate: £31.46 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Contract Type: Temporary About the Role Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated Community Occupational Therapist to join their Adult Social Care team. This role focuses on empowering individuals to live safely and independently within their own homes through functional assessments, equipment provision, and home adaptations. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out person-centred, needs-led assessments in line with the Care Act and local policy.Recommend and arrange for equipment and adaptations to support independence and wellbeing.Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, housing officers, and health professionals.Provide expert clinical advice and support to service users, carers, and partner agencies.Promote independence and prevent the escalation of care needs through early intervention and rehabilitation.Essential RequirementsDegree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).Basic Welsh Language skills (Level 1) – training provided to reach this level.Good understanding of the legislative framework for community care services.Why work through Pertemps?
