Are you passionate about supporting families affected by domestic abuse—helping children and their parents heal, connect, and move forward?

We're looking for a compassionate and creative Family Wellbeing Worker to join our team. Based in the NDADA refuge and safe houses, you'll work directly with children, young people, and their parents to support emotional recovery, strengthen relationships, and build confidence through structured activities, parenting support, and advocacy.

Working alongside the Family Support Officer and the wider refuge and outreach team, you'll take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to family wellbeing.

About You:

You're empathetic, proactive, and deeply committed to helping families recover from the trauma of domestic abuse. You're confident working with both children and parents, and you understand the importance of early support and healthy family connection.

You'll also bring:

Experience supporting children and families, ideally in a refuge, education, or safeguarding setting A trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills Creativity, flexibility, and a positive outlook

Benefits:

24 days annual leave a year (pro rata), plus day for birthday, rising by 1 day a year until 5 years' service -maximum 30 days plus bank holidays. Employee Assistance Programme. Workplace pension.
