My client is the UK subsidiary of one of the leadingItalian furniture companies working in the luxury contract market and homedivision for high end multi-apartments and residences.
My client is looking for anexperienced Showroom Manager with a strong sales & design background tojoin its Home Division team at their Flagship store in South West London.
The candidate should have adatabase of established clients and interior designers and will be required to manageand coordinate the showroom team and drive sales.
Together with the team, itwill be required to organise the design work prior and during the manufacturingprocess and manage the production of Technical Drawings and plans used tomanufacture the furniture.
The ideal candidate shallhave the following skills:
·Possessleadership qualities required to motivate, manage, and develop a highperforming team.
·Teamworkskills and organizational skills are a must.
·Salesand client focused delivering an exceptional customer service.
·Abilityto improve efficiency and oversee sales budgets.
·Have a verygood business acumen.
·Highexperience in design and furniture.
·Demonstrableknowledge of the design industry, its heritage and culture.
Formal qualification isrequired, a BA (Hons) Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or IndustrialDesign is preferred.
KEYRESPONSABILITES/ATTIBUTES OF ROLE:
DESIGN ABILITY
·Leadthe design for a variety of residential projects.
·Expertiseon developing drawings, project schedules, budgets, work plans and visualpresentations to submit to clients.
·Highunderstating of design packages, including Wardrobes, AV Media Units,Bookcases, Kitchens as well as free standing furniture packages.
·Managea team able to:
·Coordinateand prepare excellent documentation for projects and provide quality assurance.
·Ensurethat drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality, and are easyto decipher.
·Creatingand maintaining the brand design/installation standards.
·Creatingand maintaining libraries of CAD standard furniture details and smart blocks.
·Liaisingwith Architects/Interior Designers to ensure that design intent is properlychannelled through the process to ensure that their expectations are met.
COMMERCIAL/STRATEGIC SKILLS
·Increasethe showroom performance and standards in all areas of measure.
·Set andachieve annual sales & budget costs targets.
·Increasethe brand awareness.
·Work inteam with the Contract & Home Retail divisions
·Ongoingdevelopment of the showrooms customer database achieved through driving datacapture from the team with both new and existing customers.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
·Computersavvy with moderate or better skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,AutoCAD or similar and Pgreco Training provided)
·SketchUpand Photoshop skills are a benefit
·Indepth product knowledge of contemporary furniture
The candidate will reportto the Managing Director and will work very closely with the Export &Marketing Director.
