Technical Support Administrator

The Company
My client is a leading niche product manufacturer of specialist equipment and systems. With over 100 years’ experience they are part of a global business that supplies into multiple sectors both in the UK and internationally.
As part of on-going expansion plans, they have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Support Administrator to be the link between the engineers and customers providing a high level of quality experience and administrative support.
The Role
Reporting to the UK Regional Sales Manager the Technical Support Administrator
is expected to adopt a customer focussed approach whilst engaging with a diverse range of customers that also includes various internal departments. You will be given all the training required to competently and confidently complete your day-to-day duties.
Responsibilities will include:
* Being the key point of contact for engineers
* Using a technical approach to support a customer’s enquiry
* Reading engineering drawings
* Tracking and progress chasing repairs
* Working with and supporting both the customer and engineers
* Issuing documentation
* Provide regular customer updates.
* Organise despatch and delivery.
The Candidate
The ideal Technical Support Administrator will have a proven track record gained within a Technical role. You will have a friendly and professional manner as well as strong technical, communication and administration skills.
Experience with ERP and MS programs (Office / PowerPoint / etc) is necessary.
Full training is given so will be willing to learn about the company products to effectively undertake your role.
The Benefits
In addition to full training, the successful Technical Support Administrator will receive an excellent salary of up to £38,000 (dependent on experience), and a benefits package that includes 26 days leave (including Birthday) plus Bank Holidays, Private Medical and Income Protection cover.
