We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a compassionate and innovative SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Dover. You will become an integral part of a supportive team, helping students with autism and complex learning needs to achieve academic success and personal growth. Your role will be vital in delivering a tailored curriculum that encourages exceptional progress.
As an SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Delivering a personalised curriculum designed to meet the unique needs of each student.
Establishing a nurturing and positive learning environment where children feel safe and supported.
Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to meet students’ needs effectively.
Implementing and maintaining high expectations alongside positive behaviour strategies.
Continuously assessing student progress and adapting your teaching methods to ensure their success.
To be successful SEN Teacher, you will need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
A valid Child Enhanced DBS on the update service, or the willingness to apply for one.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Experience working with children on the autistic spectrum (experience in mainstream settings will also be considered).
Excellent classroom practice, with a track record of using effective assessment for learning techniques.
Resilience, adaptability, and a positive outlook.
A flexible approach and a great sense of humour.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
