We are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer - Climber based in Manchester and surrounding areas.

You will be a Telecoms trained climber to fulfil the role within a Maintenance & Reactive team. Training can be provided for the right candidate but you must be able to climb & work at height.

What are the key role objectives?

As a multi skilled Engineer - Climber you will be carrying out PPM Activities as part of a climbing pair/team, but able to work alone if required. A UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points is essential as driving is 50% of the role.

Other key objectives include:-

* To carry out duties in compliance with company Policies and Procedures.

* To drive and promote companies One Code which is integral to our companies values and behavious.

* To perform tasks in a professional manner to a suitable standard to meet both Client and company expectation

* Compliance with Health and Safety policy/legislation

What are the main duties for the Multi Skilled Engineer?

* To undertake routine Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks on Telecoms sites

* Work includes both “At Height” checks and ground level maintenance of cabin and compound

* To undertake minor reactive maintenance work as necessary

* Procure materials and equipment to carry out works as necessary in line with contract guidelines

* To be part of a callout rota with additional remuneration

* Assist the site team in ensuring that all Statutory and Legislative requirements are achieved/adhered to for the site

* To ensure both company and clients operational procedures are adhered to at all times

* Obtain appropriate authorisation for access onto site as and when required.

* Complete risk assessments for work on site

* Willing and able to work and stay away from home. Overtime weekend working may be required from time to time.

You will ideally hold the following qualifications:-

* RF Awareness Certification

* Advanced Climbing Certification

* Rooftop Safety Awareness

* Manual Handling

* Asbestos Awareness

* First Aid at Height

* Tower Rescue

* NRSWA

* First Aid at Work Certification

* Ladder Safety

* Fitness to Climb Medical Certificate

* Latchway certification qualifications desirable

* All climbing personnel must meet basic medical and fitness requirements.

* Experience, working within the mobile telecommunications industry.

* Good communication skills, working as part of a team and autonomously.

* Conversant in the use of computers

Please note, all successful candidates, if not already qualified, will be put through training to reach an approved standard to work safely at height and/or on climbable structures.

Due the climbing requirement of the role, all employment is subject to passing a medical assessment that we will arrange in advance
