About the role:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise in supporting children with challenging behaviours. As our new SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to provide targeted support for students with challenging behaviours. This role will see you supporting children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, offering personalised interventions and helping to manage and de-escalate situations with a calm and nurturing approach. Your role will be instrumental in helping students develop their social, emotional, and behavioural skills, empowering them to engage positively in their learning and school community. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you’ll witness firsthand the impact of your work every day.
Application Requirements:
• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviours or SEN.
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and emotional resilience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with challenging behaviours.
• Implement behaviour support plans and assist in monitoring progress.
• Foster strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging trust and mutual respect.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure consistency.
• Assist with lesson preparation and adaptation to meet individual needs, ensuring all students can engage meaningfully.
