Main duties of the job The rotations will be 9 months and include: StrokeNeuro RehabTrauma and OrthopaedicsMedical & SurgicalElderly Care You will need to be able to work in a fast paced and busy environment, have excellent communication skills and have experience of an acute hospital setting.We strive to provide a friendly and supportive working environment and offer access to in-house training opportunities and external training.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Diploma/Degree in Occupational therapy HCPC Registration Desirable Member of Professional Body Member of special interest group Post-graduate training in relevant short courses Experience Essential Post qualification experience in a physical setting Evidence of personal and professional development Experience in working as part of an MDT Experience of leading and influencing others, including OT colleagues Experience in leading and contributing to Audit Experience in service improvement An understanding of common medical, and surgical conditions, care of the elderly, neurology, trauma and orthopaedics Application of OT theory in the treatment of medical, surgical, orthopaedics, neurology, care of the elderly conditions in an inpatient setting Desirable Experience of acute in patient treatment Experience of acute in patient treatment Skills Essential Experience and commitment to multi-disciplinary working Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Desirable Understanding of quality issues Computer literate
