Benefits Competitive pay rate £12.86 - £14.53, depending on experience (overtime and shift premium rates applicable) Enhanced holiday package & pension Convenient to Belfast Fully funded, ongoing training & development opportunities Weekly pay Free training provided inclusive of E-Learning and face-to-face Short and long-term contracts available Employee Assistance Programme Access to high street, retail and leisure discounts Requirements 4 GCSEs A-C (including English and Mathematics) or equivalent 2 years' experience in similar roles working with young people with learning disabilities and challenging behavioural needs Must be flexible for evening, weekends, night and day shifts as per rota requirements Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and compliance due to the nature of this work Up to date Immunisation records to complete a full occupational health review Strong communication and interpersonal skills Effective time management and prioritisation skills Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment Responsibilities Have an understanding of how to respond and report robustly and effectively to disclosures and concerns of abuse, as defined by the SBNI core policies and procedures Deliver a service, which meets all organisational and professional responsibilities Have an awareness of policies and procedures in respect of Child Abuse Investigation and Joint Protocol procedure Assist with the supervision of the young people's clothing, furnishings and household equipment and undertake household and domestic duties Support the young people by undertaking their general supervision and be involved in their educational work and leisure activities Accompany the young people, when required, on leisure activities, holidays, outings and visits including attendance at appropriate church services Transport young people to/ from school, on activities, outings etc.
Promote or undertake personal care duties in the case of young people with a disability where required Promote and implement a Positive Behaviour Support model and child centred approach Contribute to, and participate in, reviews, staff meetings, in-service training, supervision and individual programmes of care in respect of the young people Randstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
