Contract: 2x permanent, part-time 17.5 hours positionsWould you like to make a difference to the lives of People Living with Dementia in Dumfriesshire?We are looking for unique people to join our team of Community Activity Organisers, within our community groups and dementia specific day service in Dumfries.
Our groups and day services are personalised to the preferences and needs of individuals, providing therapeutic activities with a focus on maintaining skills and independence.Our Community Activity Organisers are so important in providing front line support.
Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia and a passion to make a difference.
You will have good communication skills, a caring attitude and most of all enthusiasm for the role.
Supporting individuals to keep connected to their local communities, engage in their interests and hobbies and access peer support.
Developing ideas and leading the way towards exciting and new activities to promote brain health.The use of a car is preferred (mileage and expenses are paid).A willingness to learn and participate in training (including SVQ's) and registration with the SSSC is essential.
