The RoleAs part of a multidisciplinary / multiagency team, you will manage a specialist caseload, using evidence based practice and client centred principles to assess, plan and implement care, provide expert advice and support, operating within a defined specialism across NHS Lanarkshire.

NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.What we'll need you to bringRegistered Nurse or AHP with valid NMC / HCPC RegistrationEducated to Degree LevelPost graduate qualification at a minimum of Level 10 (Hons) or working towardsExpertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficientlyComprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practiceSpecialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practiceFurther education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualificationLeadership skills to enable the day to day management of service deliveryPossess excellent team-working/leadership skillsHave the ability to motivate others and work using own initiativeExcellent listening, communication and interpersonal skillsEffective time management skillsWorking knowledge of basic information technologyAbility to work across area wide service within NHSLCar driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licenceIt would be great if you also havePost graduate qualification in conservative sharp debridement and or tissue repair, wound managementQualification in wound care/tissue viability or equivalent experienceAdditional training in wound care and pressure ulcer preventionDemonstrated experience in a clinical setting, particularly in wound care or tissue viabilityExperience in triaging patient referrals and incident reportsPrevious experience of educating patients/family/carers and or staff in health care deliveryPrevious experience in delivering training and education to healthcare professionalsPrevious experience of participating in research/clinical audit/poster abstractsProficiency in providing clinical supervision and support to healthcare professionalsKnowledge of wound management and tissue viabilityUnderstanding of clinical guidelines and best practices in the prevention and management of pressure ulcersFamiliarity with equipment and products used in wound careKnowledge of Quality Improvement methodologies and toolsExcellent oral, written and presentation skills including report writing skillsAbility to prepare and present reports for consumption by the wider audienceExcellent leadership and judgment skills to ensure high standards of careStrong organisational skills for managing workload and coordinating patient careAbility to assess and review patients holistically and develop effective care plansEffective communication skills to educate and guide staff, patients, and carersCapacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamKnowledge and experience of IT systems and data management systems e.g.
