Job summary We seek a highly motivated, committed, and flexible practitioner to collaborate with health and multi-agency colleagues.
The goal is to ensure the delivery of safe and effective services for safeguarding vulnerable children across the City of Manchester and all children accessing MFT Hospital Services.
The role involves providing safeguarding training, leadership, advice, supervision, and expertise to health practitioners within the Trust.
Candidates should be capable of effectively challenging practice and promoting the integration of safeguarding principles into everyday professional practice.
Main duties of the job The post holder will use their expertise and knowledge in identifying, assessing, treating, and managing vulnerable children and families.
This will involve monitoring and improving standards of care through supervising practice, conducting clinical audits, using evidence-based practice, teaching and supporting colleagues, and contributing to safeguarding governance processes across the Trust.

Person Specification Essential List Essential oRN child (or equivalent qualification and/or experience in relation to children).
Minimum of 3 years post registration experience.
o1st Level Degree or working towards.
oEvidence of ongoing professional development and training undertaken in respect of safeguarding to minimum Level 3 (as per Working Together).
oKnowledge of national and local Safeguarding Policies, guidelines and recommendations.
oKnowledge of relevant legislation relating to Safeguarding oDemonstrates knowledge relevant to patterns of abuse and neglect.
oExperience of safeguarding supervision oExperience of delivering training oAwareness of issues affecting ethnic minority families and other socially excluded groups.
oWorking knowledge of children's health and development and the nature and impact of child maltreatment.
oCritical thinking, reflection and analysis to inform clinical assessment oExperience of policy development and implementation.
