We are seeking a highly motivated and committed practitioner to join our team as a Specialist Nurse. This role involves collaborating with health and multi-agency colleagues to ensure the delivery of safe and effective services for safeguarding vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide safeguarding training, leadership, advice, supervision, and expertise to health practitioners within the Trust.
  • To use expertise and knowledge in identifying, assessing, treating, and managing vulnerable children and families.
  • To monitor and improve standards of care through supervising practice, conducting clinical audits, using evidence-based practice, teaching, and supporting colleagues.

Person Specification
  • RN child (or equivalent qualification and/or experience in relation to children).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and training undertaken in respect of safeguarding to minimum Level 3.
  • Knowledge of national and local Safeguarding Policies, guidelines, and recommendations.
  • Experience of safeguarding supervision.
  • Working knowledge of children's health and development and the nature and impact of child maltreatment.
  • Critical thinking, reflection, and analysis to inform clinical assessment.
  • Specialist Practitioner Public Health.
