Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Chorlton-cum-Hardy Teaching Personnel is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy .
This is a full-time position starting in January and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of being made permanent based on performance.
The role offers a competitive weekly pay rate of £419.25 - £500 , dependent on qualifications and experience.
Role Overview This position is perfect for psychology graduates seeking a role that bridges academic learning with practical experience in education.

You will work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all.
Key Responsibilities Individual and Group Support : Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, providing targeted academic and emotional support.
SEN Assistance : Support students with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, or mental health challenges, to help them access the curriculum effectively.
Intervention Delivery : Plan and deliver structured interventions to support students' learning, confidence, and emotional resilience.
Classroom Support : Assist teachers with lesson delivery by supporting students in understanding and engaging with the content.
Emotional Well-being : Act as a mentor to students, fostering positive self-esteem, resilience, and a growth mindset.
Monitoring Progress : Observe and document student progress, working with teachers and SEN staff to tailor support strategies.
Positive Behavior Support : Promote and model positive behavior, helping students to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Ideal Candidate Profile Psychology Graduate : A degree in psychology or a closely related field is essential.
Passion for Education : A genuine interest in supporting young people and making a positive impact on their academic and personal development.
Adaptable and Proactive : Flexible, resourceful, and eager to take the initiative in a fast-paced school environment.
Interpersonal Skills : The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Experience (Desirable) : Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
