Department- Sales The contracted hours for this role are- Monday-Thursday 8.00 am -5.00 pm, Friday 8.00 am 4.00 pm, & Saturday 8.30 am-12.30 pm (on rota) The Job We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our MacBlair Cookstown branch, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the shop, maximising sales, and delivering excellent customer service.
The Role your role will include but not be limited to Working as part of a team to provide excellent customer service in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
We sell building materials so there will be an element of manual handling.
Reasonable adjustments can be made if you need them.
Manage the busy trade/DIY counter.
Processing sales documentation.
Handling stock management, identifying new product lines, and control aged stocks.
Assisting with our branch network and suppliers.
Maintaining general housekeeping.
Any other duties as requested by the Manager / Supervisor.
Essential Requirements Proven track record and experience, preferably within the building industry.
Flexible approach and comfortable selling our extensive range of products.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, and Excel.
About you: Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals.
Ability to manage and lead a team to ensure high levels of customer service.
Able to hold open and constructive conversations with team members to ensure productivity and foster positive work habits.
Proactive,forward-thinking, positive, and flexible disposition.
