The Pathogen Programme highlights EIT's transformative approach, using Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) and Oracle's cloud technology to create a global pathogen metagenomics system. This initiative aims to improve diagnostics, provide early epidemic warnings, and guide treatments by profiling antimicrobial resistance. Leveraging our global platform the Pathogen Programme will power the development of tools and products to support individual and population level decision making.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Partnership Manager to join our Pathogen Programme. Reporting to the Business Partnerships Lead, you will be pivotal in managing a high-value commercial partnership that underpins the success of the programme. You'll act as the bridge between our internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless delivery of strategic objectives while driving innovation in sequencing workflows, compliant data systems, and lab networks globally.
Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain a productive, day-to-day relationship with a key commercial partner, ensuring internal teams are aligned on progress and commitments. Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, identifying areas for growth and development. Coordinate pilot projects, from identifying suitable sites to ensuring compliance with local regulations and establishing necessary contracts. Equip pilot sites with appropriate resources, training, and support to ensure successful implementation. Collaborate with scientific and technical leads to develop and deploy sequencing protocols and data infrastructure. Facilitate global collaboration among pilot sites through knowledge exchange initiatives. Support clinical research publication efforts that align with programme objectives. Work cross-functionally to align with other programmes and shared resources. Essential Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field. Proven experience managing international programmes, particularly in pathogen genomics, sequencing, or infectious disease research. Strong background in stakeholder or partner relationship management, ideally in academic-industry partnerships. Experience navigating global regulatory and legislative frameworks for clinical or laboratory-based projects. Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee international sites and complex workstreams. Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality and precision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and adept at building strong relationships. Adaptable to dynamic, fast-paced, and cross-cultural environments. Proactive and self-motivated, with a solution-oriented mindset. Passionate about global health and contributing to pathogen research, diagnostics, and surveillance. Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Leadership experience with multi-disciplinary teams. Familiarity with compliance, ethics, and regulatory requirements relevant to infectious diseases clinical research and diagnostics. Prior experience in data infrastructure development, cloud networking, or data management systems is desirable. Working knowledge of sequencing technologies, molecular sample preparation methods, analysis tools relating to pathogen genomics; or a solid understanding of laboratory protocols and equipment. Terms of Appointment: You must have the right to work permanently in the UK with a willingness to travel as necessary. You will live in, or within easy commuting distance of, Oxford. Alternative arrangements may be considered for the right applicant. During peak periods, some longer hours may be required and some working across multiple time zones due to the global nature of the programme.
