Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring and committed Classroom Welfare Assistant to join our team.
This role focuses on supporting the well-being and academic progress of students by fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
As a Classroom Welfare Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to ensure that every student feels supported, enabling them to reach their full potential.
You will also play a key role in addressing any barriers to learning and promoting positive behaviour.
Position Details: Location: Poole Position: Classroom Welfare Assistant Hours: 09:00am - 15:30pm Full time/Part time: Full time only Minimum Rate of Pay: £85.10 per day, depending on experience Start date: ASAP/ January 2025 start Your Responsibilities Will Be: Supporting the emotional and physical well-being of students in the classroom.
Assisting teachers in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
Addressing welfare concerns by liaising with staff, parents/guardians, and external professionals.
Experience, Training & Qualifications: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional references OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
