A bit about the role As Team Leader you will be working in our short breaks' unit, which offers a home-from-home environment for the children who use our service.
This position involves overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring that each child receives the care and support they need to thrive.
The team Leader will be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where everyone works together to meet the individual needs of the children.
You'll oversee the development and delivery of individualised care plans, fostering positive relationships with children and their families while promoting a culture of respect and understanding.
This role demands strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous professional development to enhance the quality of care provided.
Overall, the Team Leader will be instrumental in guiding the team to provide compassionate care and support, helping the children to feel secure and valued during their stay.
About the service Our residential short breaks unit for children with disabilities is designed to provide an inclusive and flexible support system for both the children and their families.
The service officer home from home environment where children can feel safe, comfortable, and supported.
Unit focuses on meeting the unique needs of each child, ensuring that they receive personalised care tailored to their individual circumstances.
Children have an opportunity to engage in a various activity that promote their social, emotional, and developmental growth.
Can also benefit from the rest by offered by the unit allowing them to recharge while knowing their children are in a nurturing and caring environment.

We're looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude to join our team.
Ideally, you'll have: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent A positive and confident approach to engaging with children and young people.
Provide direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care Leading shifts and supervising staff.
Link working with young people (managing paperwork and files).
Developing care plans and identifying agreed outcomes.
Responsible for the safeguarding of young people.
How you'll help to create brighter futures Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes.
Provide direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care Leading shifts and supervising staff.
Link working with young people (managing paperwork and files).
