**Residential Support Worker.**
**Salary**:c£23,151.50 per annum.
**Location**: Hexham, Northumberland.
**Contract/Hours**: Permanent - 37 hours per week.

**A bit about the role**
Our Residential Support Workers create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop, ensuring their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance and advocacy that is consistent with regulatory requirements and the agreed policies and procedures.
As a residential support worker, you are an important part of the role in looking after our young people.
It is key that they stay safe and healthy and can reach their full potential. Through implementing individual programmes, you will support a young person in their social and independent skills whilst managing their complex needs. We offer an in-depth induction process and training, which will include all mandatory training as well as any bespoke courses that we feel will benefit the young people living in your home.
Alongside this, we will enrol you in the qualifications which you need to work in the industry.
Regular supervision with your line manager, team meetings etc. will ensure you feel part of our team.
Once you have gained the relevant experience and qualifications you will be ready to progress to the next step in your career with us.
**About the service**
Monksfield's Adlin House is a residential care service that provides a warm and welcoming environment to disabled children who have moderate to severe learning disabilities. It is a purpose-built bungalow which has five bedrooms, two bathrooms and several communal living and play areas. Adlin House also has a large, enclosed garden with a wide range of play equipment.
As well as residential care, we also provide short breaks in our unit called Acorn where children have a home from home supported environment.
In both services we work with families and professionals to meet the complex and varied needs of the children and young people in our care. Our tailored support packages enable all children and young people to benefit from their stay with us.
By providing fun, inclusive, and flexible support we help disabled children, young people and their families live the lives they want.
We are looking for a** **Residential Support Worker for our shifts to join our fun and supportive team, who can bring their experience, can-do attitude, and passion with them and help maintain the high standards already set by our wonderful team

Don't worry if you have never worked in a similar role before, it is your personality and personal qualities that matter. If you are passionate about creating brighter futures, this could be the perfect role for you. Ideally you will:
- Understand how to engage with young people.
- Have a positive approach and ‘can do' attitude.
- Ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
- Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent). If you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided.
