We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic respiratory team.
This role offers the opportunity to lead, inspire, and develop the nursing team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy and rewarding environment.You will play a key role in supporting the Ward Manager in the day-to-day operations of the ward, maintaining clinical excellence, and fostering a positive learning environment for staff.
Main duties of the job Provide effective leadership and support to the nursing team, acting as a role model and mentor.Deliver high standards of evidence-based care to patients with complex respiratory conditions.Assist in managing the ward, including staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation.Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, and the implementation of best practices.Ensure adherence to clinical governance and patient safety standards.Act as a clinical resource, providing guidance and education to staff, students, and patients.Deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence.
