Job summary The post holder willbe a part of the Estates and Facilities team at Lancaster Medical Practice,providing grounds maintenance services, both planned and reactive, for allLancaster Medical Practice properties.
Thepost holder is expected to provide a basic repair and maintenance service andwill carry out necessary grounds maintenance tasks to ensure the safety of LancasterMedical Practice site grounds and carparks.
The postholder will work toLancaster Medical Practices policies and procedures Main duties of the job Carry out planned and requisitionmaintenance requests to all grounds and gardens managed by Lancaster MedicalPracticeMaintain litter-free sites Ensure main entrances arelitter-free, swept and power-washed when requiredEnsure all path, entrances, carparks and walkways are free of obstruction from trees, tree leaves, shrubs,weeds, or plant material.
Water all new planting, tubs andhanging baskets either seasonally or until plant maturity Weed kill andremove all weeds from the site Strim, mow and prune according toseasonal demandsReinstate areas damaged by generaluse Use and maintain machinery andequipment including mowers, blowers, and sweepers.
Clear light wells and gullies ofweeds and debrisPlan and maintain flower bedsaround the sitesEnsure that all perimeter areasincluding fencing are litter free and in a good state of repair Gardens around all sites to bemaintained throughout the year Ensure that all equipment issigned out at the start of each day, and all maintenance sheets are adhered toand any defect is reported About us Lancaster Medical Practice is a large, at-scale, GP providerdelivering General Medical Services to around 68,000 patients in Lancaster andsurrounding villages.

Previous experience of carrying out practical grounds maintenance duties in a similar role Desirable Experience of working in a confidential environment.
Previous experience of working in General Practice, NHS or Healthcare setting.
Qualifications Essential English GCSE (or equivalent) Level C or equivalent experience.
Desirable City and Guilds relevant certification
