Job summary Come and join our exciting and dynamic Children and Young People's Therapies Team Are you interested in working with children and young people but are unsure which clinical area you are interested in?
If you are then we invite you to join our new Band 6 Children's integrated rotation.
This new rotation will provide you with the opportunity to rotate across 4 areas of specialism: early years, school aged children, sensory processing pathway and home equipment services across health, education and social care.
All the rotations will come with a highly structured training programme, peer support opportunities and supervision from experiences clinicians in each clinical field.
Access to car or ability to travel between county-wide locations is essential.
Main duties of the job To practise paediatric occupational therapy at a very competent level across a broad range of duties ensuring thatcompetency levels are maintained and improved by continuous professional development.As part of a team to provide a Paediatric Occupational Therapy intervention to children and young people from birth to eighteen years, referred to and accepted by the service in line with service deliveryTo undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.To work within a variety of community settings schools and children's centres to provide OT intervention.To take the lead on specific aspects of service developmentTo lead a team of junior staff in delivering specific aspects of the OT service.To provide training to colleagues, parents/carers and the wider workforce on all aspects of OT delivery and intervention.
