Exciting Opportunity in Integrated Children and Young People's Therapies Service
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Integrated Children and Young People's Therapies Service. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team, providing speech and language therapy support to children and young people in Buckinghamshire.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, including those with Developmental Language Disorder and Social Communication needs. They will also have the chance to gain experience in mainstream schools across key stages within a locality area of mainstream schools.
The Speech and Language Therapy Service forms part of an Integrated Children and Young People's Therapies Service working closely with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, as well as wider children and young people's services.

Person Specification
- Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
- Health Professions Council Licence to Practice
Desirable Criteria
- Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
- Evidence of continuing professional development and personal development
Essential Criteria
- Able to identify own strengths and needs and able to identify when to seek support
- Demonstrates knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Demonstrates awareness of standards of record keeping
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
- Clear concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multidisciplinary team, patients and carers and to ensure records are kept accurately and in a timely manner
- Knowledge of specific therapy methods and programmes for the treatment of children
