Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our training program in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, delivering, and coordinating a core training program in collaboration with local partners.

Main Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for various stakeholders.
  • Training Program Development: Create innovative and comprehensive training materials tailored to our parents/families, educational settings, and team around the CYP needs.
  • Training Coordination: Manage logistics, schedules, and resources to ensure smooth program execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build strong relationships with partners and participants to maximize program impact.
  • Continuous Improvement: Incorporate feedback from participants and stakeholders to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc OT or Dip COT Professional registration with HCP.
  • Member of BAOT/COT or equivalent for professional indemnity.
  • Member of Specialist Section of the College of Occupational Therapy CYPF.
  • Evidence of Post Graduate CPD.
  • Registered member of the Royal College of Speech And Language Therapists.
  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Health Professions Council Licence to Practice.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and personal development.

Experience

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in training and development. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in a range of clinical settings to include community and hospital.
  • Evidence of good presentation skills.
  • Evidence of supervision of others.
  • Evidence of specialist knowledge/skills resulting from clinical experience and CPD.
  • Experience of producing and delivering training packages to a variety of audiences.
  • Clinical experience in a variety of settings.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of specialist SLT assessment tools relevant to the client group.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic intervention.
  • Demonstrates awareness of the roles of other professionals.
  • Demonstrates awareness of standards of record keeping.
  • Able to maintain intense concentration.
