Occupational Therapist for Children and Young People

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing specialist services to children and young people aged 0-19 years.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting occupational therapy assessments, writing reports, and providing high-quality professional advice to inform EHCP decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting occupational therapy assessments and writing reports for tribunals and EHCP needs assessments
- Producing high-quality professional advice and reports to inform EHCP decisions
- Building effective working relationships with children, families, schools, and other agencies
- Monitoring progress and maintaining timely and comprehensive clinical records
- Contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings and collaborating on joint goal-setting for EHCPs

Please note that this is a maternity cover position, and the successful candidate will be required to work closely with the physiotherapy and speech and language therapy team leads within the tribunal team.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT)
- Recognised Occupational Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
- Health Professions Council Licence to Practice (HCPC) Registration
- Evidence of continuing professional development and personal development in the area of working with children
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs
- Knowledge of specialist OT assessment tools relevant to the client group
- Ability to manage emotional consequences and sensitivity in working with patients with a range of OT needs
Special Circumstances:
- Valid full driving licence and access to vehicle
