Occupational Therapist for Children and Young People

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people aged 0-19 years.
Main Duties of the JobConduct occupational therapy assessments and write reports for tribunals needs assessments for children and young people aged 0-19 years.
- Produce high-quality professional advice and reports to inform EHCP decisions
- Build effective working relationships with children, families, schools, and other agencies
- Monitor progress, and maintain timely and comprehensive clinical records
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and collaborate on joint goal-setting for Education Health and Care Plans
- Manage tribunals and mediations by reviewing evidence, preparing reports, and attending hearings/meetings to represent and advise on occupational therapy recommendations under the guidance of the Operational Lead
- Maintain knowledge of best practices in paediatric OT through ongoing professional development
- Liaise and use specialist clinical skills with a wide range of health, education professionals, Buckinghamshire County Integrated SEND team, and specialist tertiary centres
- Work autonomously to provide highly specialist occupational therapy assessments, and expertise for children and young people aged 0-19 years
- Liaise closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, parents, and education providers for children on the tribunal caseload
