Cardiology Secretarial Assistant

Job summary The Cardiology Department at ULHT are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly organised support secretary to provide an efficient service to the Consultants, Nurses and the Medical secretary team.
This is a role based at the Lincoln County Hospital.You will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills.
You will require a high level of tact, diplomacy with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively.Please note this position is not due to start until April 2025.
Main duties of the job The Medical Secretarial Assistant/Admin Support:Assists and supports the medical secretaries in providing an efficient medical secretarial service for the clinical team.Assists and supports the medical secretaries in achieving targets including CQUINs and validation.Assists and supports the Elective Access Clerk to provide an administrative service to the patient which supports the achievement of nationally and locally agreed access standards.Provides cover for colleagues in their absence to maintain service levels.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire.
Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Person Specification Experience Essential Previous experience in office environment.
Some knowledge of medical terminology Desirable NHS experience Qualifications Essential Typing and or Word/Text Processing Skills Audio Typing Experience GCSE English Grade C or equivalent Text Word processing & audio skills to RSA II or equivalent.
Desirable 4 GCSE C or equivalent.
Business Admin NVQ II or equivalent Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude Essential Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload to achieve deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability and confidence to communicate at all levels.
Competent Microsoft Word User.
Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda.
Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework Specific Requirements Essential Conscientious in standard of work produced.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and as part of a team.
Clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
