Through our pro bono work, charitable activities, and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion, we strive to contribute meaningfully to society.About the RoleThis position will play an important supporting role in the firm's Knowledge Services and Systems (KSS) activities concerning the provision of our library and knowledge management (KM) resources.ResponsibilitiesCarrying out legal and business research using both printed and electronic resourcesProviding a help desk support function, dealing with enquiries from colleagues in person and remotelyAssisting with the provision of current awareness information to colleaguesCreating and amending pages of the firm's KSS provision on Brodies' Intranet, using webpage creation softwareMaintaining knowledge of legal information resources, both in printed and electronic formProviding training to colleagues on KSS, KM and legal resourcesAssisting with the administration of new and existing content within Brodies KM Systems including the Knowledge at Brodies portal and knowhow document databasesAssisting with the administration and maintenance of taxonomies and metadata applied to knowhow contentAssist in administrative tasks, including mail opening and updating loose-leaf publicationsProviding cover for other members of the KSS teamBe aware of Brodies’ information security policies, and protect information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference at all timesQualificationsA KM/library/information services background preferredExperience within a legal environment preferredRequired SkillsAbility to work on own initiative, be proactive and committed to ‘getting the job done’Experience of carrying out legal research tasks quickly and accuratelyHas knowledge and experience of relevant IT applications and seeks out opportunities to enhance IT literacy through trainingExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Excellent attention to detailPrioritisation, time management and organisational skillsA collaborative working style, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
