Role: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Sector: Healthcare Compliance Tech
Location: UK-Based, Hybrid Working

Finatal is currently partnered with a Mid-Market Private Equity Fund who have recently acquired a Software Business in the Healthcare space – they are now looking for a Chief Technology Officer to lead their Cloud Strategy, Security & Data Governance, Architecture Modernisation and Product/Team Integration as part of its acquisitive growth plan. Cloud Strategy & Cost Management: Lead the transition to Microsoft Azure, optimize infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, and build scalable, secure cloud solutions. Security & Data Governance: Overhaul the company’s security posture by addressing weaknesses identified in prior penetration tests. Establish a robust data governance framework and ensure the product and API security are watertight. Product & Architecture Modernization: Lead a full re-architecture of both the front-end and back-end, bringing a strong foundational approach to modernizing and future-proofing the tech stack. Maintain hands-on involvement in technical solutions to address current gaps and elevate the quality of the user experience.
Build, manage, and upgrade the technology team, ensuring high standards of performance, technical skills, and compliance. Collaboration with Private Equity and Stakeholders: Work closely with the board, PE investors, and senior management, aligning technical strategies with business goals, ensuring that tech development supports the growth and value-creation objectives of the business.

Strong foundation in API and product security, with practical experience implementing security frameworks and handling compliance and data governance for tech products.
Proven track record of leading front-end and back-end modernization projects, especially in environments that require a re-architecting for scalability and security.
Expertise in FinOps to drive financial accountability, optimise cloud spending, and align technology investments with business goals
Skilled at managing and mentoring technology teams with an ability to foster a high-performance, security-focused culture.
Experience in integration of new products and teams in a scaling business, ideally in a B2G SaaS or enterprise software context.
Prior exposure to working within a Private Equity-owned business and a solid understanding of the dynamics, expectations, and pressures of such environments.
