Job Summary
Reporting to the CEO, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven VP of Lead Generation to spearhead our lead generation strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B SaaS environments and expertise in both sell-to and sell-through motions, with a strong focus on channel experience (B2B2B). This role will be crucial in driving our growth by developing and executing strategies that generate high-quality leads and fuel our sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
- Design and implement comprehensive lead generation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and optimise campaigns for both direct sales (sell-to) and partner-driven sales (sell-through).
- Utilise Accounts Based Marketing/Selling to target high-value accounts with personalised campaigns.
Lead Acquisition Activities:
- Digital Marketing: Oversee PPC, SEO, and social media advertising to attract target audiences.
- Content Marketing: Develop whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and blogs to engage potential leads.
- Email Campaigns: Create targeted email sequences to nurture prospects and drive conversions.
- Events and Webinars: Plan and execute virtual and in-person events to generate interest and capture leads.
- Partnerships and Alliances: Cultivate relationships with strategic partners to enhance lead flow.
- Referral Programs: Develop and manage programs to encourage existing customers to refer new leads.
Product Launch and Market Expansion:
- Lead efforts to successfully launch new products and enter new markets.
Marketing Funnel Management:
- Strong hands-on experience across the entire marketing funnel (TOFU/MOFU/BOFU).
Data-Driven Insights:
- Utilise analytics to track performance and guide decision-making.
- Provide ongoing analysis and reporting on lead generation effectiveness and ROI.
- Understand SaaS KPIs and drive NRR with targeted marketing initiatives.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing, sales, and partner teams to ensure alignment and integration of lead generation efforts.
- Collaborate with product and customer success teams to refine value propositions based on market feedback.
Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of lead generation specialists.
- Develop processes and best practices to enhance team performance.
Budget Management:
- Manage the lead generation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum impact.
Strategic Skills:
- Understand and apply MEDDPIC in sales processes.
- Strong sense of urgency and a risk appetite to capture market share in a competitive environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in lead generation for B2B SaaS companies.
- Proven track record of developing successful lead generation campaigns.
- Strong understanding of both sell-to and sell-through sales motions and channel experience (B2B2B).
- Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
