Job Description

Location: Southampton or London - hybrid - 2 days in the office

Salary: Up to £70,000 (depending on experience)


My client is seeking a Talent and Learning Manager to join their team in a newly created role that is pivotal in reshaping the company's approach to learning and development. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong background in talent development and learning strategies.


We are looking for someone who is driven and understands the importance of leadership development in a long-established business that is evolving to meet modern challenges. Your ability to engage with stakeholders and hold line managers accountable will be critical.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop our apprenticeship program, ensuring best practices are implemented.
  • Oversee the learning design guidelines and manage a team of two direct reports within the learning team.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR, and other stakeholders to drive our learning strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Manage projects to ensure they meet tight deadlines and budget constraints while aligning with our brand and quality standards.
  • Engage with external suppliers to enhance our learning initiatives.
  • Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) and develop learning strategies that align with business goals.


Key Requirements:

  • Experience in leading apprenticeship programs and a proven track record in learning design.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities, with experience navigating challenging situations.
  • Global experience preferred, but open to various sectors. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and data analysis is a plus.
