Financial Accountant
We Do Group is excited to be working with a dynamic gaming company as they embark on a new chapter of growth
If you're actively studying, looking to gain team management experience, and want to work for a super cool gaming business, then this could be the role for you.
This position will also offer exposure to FP&A and Commercial Finance—a fantastic opportunity to eventually step into an all-encompassing Finance Manager role.
As part of this growth, the role will report to the Financial Controller but work closely and collaboratively with the entire finance team (and beyond). This newly refreshed position will primarily focus on delivering all month-end reporting requirements and take ownership of various technical accounting activities and processes.
The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close process and deliver accurate management accounts to ensure the business receives timely, insightful financial information.
- Handle the more technical aspects of month-end, including complex revenue recognition, intangible asset amortisation, and inter-company trading.
- Support the Financial Controller with year-end compliance tasks, including audit and IFRS statutory account reviews.
- Assist the Financial Controller and external tax advisors with tax-related reporting, such as R&D tax credits and VAT returns.
- Act as a Finance Business Partner for selected Studios and Head Office teams.
- Play a lead role in the annual budgeting and internal forecasting processes.
- Manage two Junior Accountants, overseeing both their day-to-day deliverables and their long-term professional development.
- Support the Head of Finance and Financial Controller with ad hoc queries, analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Actively studying or recently qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Advanced Excel skills, ideally with exposure to Power Query and complex formulas.
- Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise various deliverables.
- Analytical, with a strong attention to detail and high numerical proficiency.
Perks & Benefits
We offer great perks, including flexible hours, duvet days, your birthday off, dedicated personal development time and support, as well as regular socials and parties. In addition, we provide a competitive holiday allowance, a pension scheme, health insurance, life cover, and much more.
